Military response: "Make the Afghans suffer? They're already suffering. Level their houses? Done. Turn their schools into piles of rubble? Done. Eradicate their hospitals? Done. Destroy their infrastructure? Cut them off from medicine and health care? Too late...."

The World Forum has the most compelling, sensible analysis on the WTC bombings I've seen anywhere.
"The CIA trained Osama Bin Laden and other terrorists groups to serve its interests in Afghan war versus the USSR. In the process, the US military resurrected jihad or "holy war", a concept that was last used in the 10th century."

Comparing the jihad'ers to a virus or cancer, we need to be concerned that the "treatment" does not also destroy the patient, nor that we create a strain of treament-resisteant pathogens.

Browse through the World Forum site (whose contributors are former UN officials and high government officials, Nobel Peace Prize winners, and scholars ). Its by far the best website I've seen lately.
