Higher93 It is unfortunate that the books of the Old Testament prophets have often been the least studied of all biblical writers. These were men of dedicated hearts, men who stood when the storms of dissent and criticism crashed everywhere about them, men who manifested courage and calm under pressure, and men who valued truth even above their own lives. They exhibited the characteristics needed by servants of God in every generation, and they serve as examples to those of us who live in an unbelieving world that we must not falter, we must not fail, and we must not surrender.
[Tennessee Judge Alan Highers, speech on The (Fort Worth) Brown Church Church of Christ Website, 1993]
