Martin Sheen for President

I wish I had a bumper sticker that said that...

Every time I watch West Wing I get a lump in my throat and I feel deeply envious of that mythical United States that has a president who is honorable; who actually cares about people and is connected to their daily struggles; and who does not try to shield himself from decisions that turn out badly, but rather takes responsiblity for them.

OK, Martin Sheen says he's not qualified to be president - they already asked him, six years ago -- and I accept that. It's probably his character, President Jed Bartlett, whom I admire. Though Sheen is an activist and a peacemonger.

The other person I admire, though I don't know his name, is whoever writes that show. He's good.
