Not for oil, not left over hard feelings, but global positioning. when is the last time you pulled out your old game of Risk? Is it lying in the basement or attic under an inch of dust? Recently Pete boughta new version of the game and the 4 of our group sat down to play. 2 Things became readily apparent: 1. How the British conquered the world (affecting the language of my Indian and Caribbean friends!) 2. How critical the whole GAZA strip, Iraq, and Middle East in General is to accessing the rest of the world. See those Mountains there? See where Pakistan and India border? Between the geology of the location and the world positioning, it's no wonder strife continues on even in this day and age! What else?
The Village Voice: Features: Why the War Works by Roger Trilling"Perhaps a fuller explanation hinges neither on oil nor on weapons of mass destruction, but on geopolitical necessity"
