Bush doesn't care what the American people think

"Size of protest — it's like deciding, well, I'm going to decide policy based upon a focus group," Mr. Bush said in response to a reporter's question at the White House. "The role of a leader is to decide policy based upon the security, in this case, the security of the people." -- NY Times, article on Bush reaction to massive peace protests in US and around the world.

Whose president is this anyway? hard to say. One thing for sure is the U.S. Congress is his lap dog. Members of the Democratic party, whom one might expect to launch an opposition to the war, based on last weekend's outpouring of protest against Bush's incredibly cruel policy, have sat idly by insisting on their loyalty to the country.
My guys-- Sens. Dodd and Lieberman of Connecticut - seem oblivious to the good of the country or of the world. Maybe they've been mesmerized. Maybe their water has been laced with brain-mushing dope. Who knows? They're not doing their job, that's all I know!
