Against the presidentThe Administration and nearly all of our Senators and Representatives are saying that, think what we may of Bush, in time of war we must pull together and mute any and all criticism. Below is a sampling of criticims of the President and his war by leading Senators and Representatives: ...I normally, and I still do, support our military and the fine work that they are doing. But I cannot support a failed foreign policy.1 I think he’s [the president] gotten us into a mess. I don’t think you can bomb a country into signing a peace agreement.2 The bombings have unleashed an evil reign and resulted in a humanitarian disaster.3 This is [the president’s] war, and when he falls flat on his face, that’s his problem.4Footnotes
They were speaking, of course, of Pres.Clinton and the intervention against MiIosevik in the Bosnian War. Milosevik's march throughthe former Yugoslavia was ignored by the first Pres. Bush, Europe, and the UN. Once Clinton went in to put a stop to the horrific actions taking place, it became in the U.S. a partisan playground and Republicans had on their kicking shoes.. Now the shoe is on the other foot and no one may say a word. Palema
