Bush's war

The war presented on tv last night seemed like a modest little war, one I could almost get behind. For a little while, watching successive shots of the Baghdad skyline, one turquoise, one pale blue, one pale gray, I thought perhaps the president had heard pleas that to save Iraqi people from Hussein didn't require bombing them into the stone age.
But no, the president followed on tv himself, with a newly sharpened jawline and a look of serious misery on his face to announce briefly that the war has begun.
"On my orders, coalition forces have begun striking selected targets of military importance"
"Now that conflict has come, the only way to limit its duration is to apply decisive force"
