'Drug-soaked fascist frat boy'

Visit Veterans against the Iraq War to see messages from veterans and their families who can't figure out why the country wants or needs this war. One man is fairly clear about it:

This isn’t about weapons of mass destruction, it’s about oil. That drug-soaked, fascist frat-boy in the Oval Office wants us to pay the price of stealing Iraqi oil for his supporters . . . a price we will pay with higher taxes and American lives. They will get rich, we will all become accessories to murder for profit and some of us will become dead. Remember, any complacency on your part is the equivalent of complicity in this despicable business. Do something!
--William B. Cushman, USN 1961-64

And further, it's apparently about the Euro vs. the Dollar (see item below). This one makes a little more sense; what doesnt make sense is why the president isn't talking to anyone about it. Why not just blurt out the truth? Then the disagreement of France and Germany would make more sense to many Americans now dissenting. Many Americans could get behind saving our economy.
None like being lied to, and we can tell we're being lied to, even if we don't know the truth.
The shameful part, of course, is that the US policy toward Iraq has been geared entirely toward getting and selling oil. The oil boys are in business and want to proceed unfettered by anyone else's wishes. This is what Bush really means when he talks about 'freedom' -- the supposed 'right' of American businessmen to do what they want, when they want it, with no concern for anybody else.
That's not freedom, it's lawlessness.
