US lost in IraqMost of the justification for going to war against Iraq was based on misprepresentations and outright falsehoods. Says the Independent News in the UK: The case for invading Iraq to remove its weapons of mass destruction was based on selective use of intelligence, exaggeration, use of sources known to be discredited and outright fabrication Despite having a free hand in postwar searching, the US still has not been able to come up with any evidence of weapons of mass destruction. Other explanations for the failure to find WMDs include the possibility that they might have been smuggled to Syria, or so well hidden that they could take months, even years, to find. If these weapons were the reasons for the war, and they havent been found, how can it be called a victory? Palema
