War whys

War-wise, the candidates for president have piped down except for the upstart Dennis Kucinich, who says the White House is "in a crisis of legitimacy." Hear! Hear! Kucinich speaks the truth to power, a dangerous occupation these days. I thank him for his courage.
A press release sent to MoveOn.org primary voters says:
"This Administration deliberately led this nation to war based on based on false premises. Iraq had nothing to do with 9/11. Iraq did not present an imminent threat to the United States...

"This Administration's deception made America less secure. It has cut off the US from the world community. It violated the US Constitution. It violated the UN Charter. It violated the Geneva Convention. It continues to cost the lives of our men and women in uniform. It has cost the lives of countless innocent Iraqis. It will cost the American taxpayers well over $100 billion. It has caused tens of billions of dollars in damage to Iraq. It has strengthened religious fundamentalists who now threaten the freedom of women in Iraq society"

Read it in detail at the Kucinich website
