Pres. Clinton in hospital

President Clinton is scheduled for heart surgery in a few days -- after the doctors return from their long weekend, I suppose.

I'm sorry he will be sitting out the campaign season, though perhaps he'd had eneough of the Republican slams. (It's amazing how vicious they can be -- were and continue to be.)

I admired Clinton as president old news photo shows young Clinton meeting JFK during a campaign stop and think he's doing very well as former president, too. As a campaigner, he was inspired by President Kennedy, and as a former chief executive it appears he has been inspired by Jimmy Carter, to date our all-time best ex-president working for world peace and to raise the living stanards of desperately poor people around the world.

Anyone who would like to send Mr. Clinton a get-well message may do so at his website (see the light blue link in a box on the right side of the page), and incidentally read about some of his post-Oval Office efforts. So, unlike ex-Republican presidents who simply enrich themselves, he is working against the third-world AIDS epidemic and other peace and justice initiatives(not that Clinton is not finally making some money, much deserved, in my opinion, after a lifetime of public service, but he's doing some good with it.)
